Following the retirement of Andrew Walker after 39 years with ADAS, Jackie Evans, the current ADAS Director for Agriculture and Land Management has been additionally appointed as the ADAS Managing Director.

Jackie Evans

Having begun with ADAS as a dairy business consultant, Jackie went on to hold various leadership roles in agricultural and business consultancies, including as a managing director for a construction project management company. She returned to ADAS in 2017 to lead the agricultural side of the business and now as overall Managing Director will oversee 440 staff working across agricultural, research, and environmental disciplines. Jackie said:

“ADAS has played an essential role in securing efficient and sound food production and land management for many decades. With the recent history of Brexit and the pandemic, our consultancy services have never been in more demand.
Increasing recognition of the importance of soil health, biodiversity, and carbon management, which have always been central to our vision as a company, indicates we have an exciting future ahead of us. I have no doubt that with our expert knowledge and growing staff base, we can continue to find solutions for the climate crisis, and drive productivity with an ecological focus.”

Andrew Walker, former ADAS Managing Director noted:

“While it is time for me to move on to a new stage in life after nearly four decades with ADAS, I am delighted to be handing over the reins to a new Managing Director who brings to the role tremendous experience, technical knowledge, and a passion to drive growth and innovation. I know that with Jackie at the helm, ADAS can continue to be the leader in its field, recognised for its authoritative, evidence-driven science and pragmatic policy advice, provided by researchers and consultants who are the best in the business. I wish Jackie all the very best in her new role.”

Jackie concluded “Working with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues, who always demonstrate the ultimate professionalism and ingenuity, will make this role a joy. I look forward to leading this long standing organisation on this exciting new chapter”.
