Archaeological monitoring of groundworks during the construction stage of a project is often required as a condition of planning permission.

Our experienced archaeologists carry out a wide range of monitor work, including for intrusive groundworks, site stripping or demolition works. We work closely with construction contractors and the local authority archaeologist to minimise any delays. Clear communication is important to us and our advice is unbiased, straightforward and practical. If we identify any issues, we are quick to liaise with the client and coordinate a solution.

When complying the monitoring report to discharge a planning condition, our reports are clear yet thorough and tailored to your development.

As with all our archaeology services, we work in accordance with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Standards and Guidance. We adhere to project method statements and follow strict health and safety protocols while on site. We are Constructionline Gold members and have achieved SMAS Worksafe accreditation.
