Rapid heritage constraints report

Identifying heritage constraints at the design stage

ADAS archaeologists are specialists in providing robust, proportionate, easily understandable and implementable advice, especially regarding utilities work.

Our rapid constraints reports (ArchaeoCheck) are a proven tool in identifying heritage constraints at the design stage, so the risk of non-compliance with UK legislation can be identified and effectively mitigated.

Whether your project is a pipeline, an underground cable or an overhead line installation, our rapid constraints reports can tell you what you need to know.

Heritage statements

Our tailored heritage statements assess the impact of a proposed development as per Historic England guidance. If your development is located within a conservation area, or if it requires listed building consent, the local authority will normally require a heritage statement to be submitted along with the application.

We will produce tailored heritage statements that will assess the physical and the setting impact of the proposed development following the latest Historic England guidance to give your application the best chance of success.

Heritage outreach

Sharing with the local community our findings about the past

Current planning guidance actively requires developers to consider the wider public benefit of work that may impact on heritage assets. For example, how an archaeological investigation could contribute to a sense of place and community.

We can provide public talks, online forums, articles suitable for websites and input for local media coverage. To communicate the findings of archaeological work, we can also design and produce interpretation panels and displays carried out because of your development to the widest possible audience.

Heritage outreach is an important aspect of archaeology, and our archaeologists will help you with your project every step of the way.
