Rapid Heritage Constraints Report

Identifying heritage constraints at the design stage

ADAS archaeologists are specialists in providing robust, proportionate, easily understandable and implementable advice, especially in relation to utilities works. Our rapid constraints reports (ArchaeoCheck) are a proven tool in identifying heritage constraints at the design stage so the risk of non-compliance with UK legislation can be identified and effectively mitigated.

Whether your project is a pipeline, an underground cable or an overhead line installation our rapid constraints reports can tell you what you need to know.

Heritage Statements

Tailored heritage statements will assess the impact of the proposed development in line with Historic England guidance.

If your development is located within a Conservation Area, or if it requires listed Building Consent, the local authority will normally require a Heritage Statement to be submitted along with the application.

We will produce tailored heritage statements that will assess both the physical and the setting impact of the proposed development in accordance with the latest Historic England guidance to give your application the best chance of success.

Heritage Outreach

Sharing with the local community our findings about the past

Current planning guidance actively requires developers to consider the wider public benefit of work which may impact on heritage assets and how any resulting archaeological investigation may contribute to a sense of place and community identity.

We can provide public talks, online forums, articles suitable for websites and input for local media coverage. We can also design and produce interpretation panels and displays to communicate the benefits of archaeological work carried out as a result of your development to the widest possible audience. Heritage outreach is an important aspect of archaeology and our archaeologists will help you with your project evey step of the way.
