With a wider range of seed mixes and a diversification of cropping on-farm, there have been a few instances of parasitic weed infestation in arable fields over the last few years. This is an interesting group of plants that are under researched in the UK.
ADAS, Wageningen University & Research, and the Natural Resources Institute want to hear from farmers and agronomists about their understanding of parasitic weeds, especially if you have seen them on-farm.
Whether you have seen parasitic weeds or not, please complete the survey below to help us understand your level of knowledge and the prevalence of parasitic weeds. At the same time, please view some photos of key species that will help you to identify them in the future.
The information will be used to produce a scientific report or article on the presence and issues related to parasitic weeds in Europe. The data collected is anonymous and no details will be reported that might identify the location of an individual farm. Approximate location information will be used to create a map of presence of the species.
The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. We greatly appreciate your time in helping us.
