Ecological Clerk of Works services for infrastructure (rail and highways), utilities, renewable and residential sectors

The role of an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) is to oversee works and ensure construction is carried out in line with wildlife law and planning consent commitments. They are present to:

  • identify and protect sensitive environmental features
  • work with on-site teams and project managers to ensure works are completed in a cost-effective, timely and safe way
  • advise on mitigation to minimise risks and delays

What ECoW services can ADAS offer?

Nationwide support for large projects

With teams based all across England and Wales, our experienced CIEEM accredited ecologists can respond quickly to support large, complex, construction projects.

We have an excellent working knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and understand the complexities of construction, especially in environmentally sensitive locations. Our advice is site-specific and practical to reduce any risks or delays.

With decades of experience working on construction sites across the country, our ecologists are confident communicating clear instructions to busy on-site construction teams and project managers.

As a multidisciplinary business, we can call on the expertise of other ADAS staff such as planners, scientists, and engineers, to deliver a fully integrated, in-house ECoW service.
